“…In her paintings and objects, Lidia Fiabane plays with colors and shapes, with painting, collage, and installation, in order to bring into the viewer’s focus what at first glance might appear banal or everyday. There are the Caramelle — ‘sweets,’ cheerful in their pale yellow — pictures with little flowers, lollipops, and orange slices among which children play, and even a pink, flower-patterned yellow dog… Ordinary things lifted out of their usual context, both engaging and unsettling at the same time…"
